GOC2209212-CS - Fire Pump Room Installation

Project is to create in Block C a fire rated room around the existing fire pump to meet NFPA 20 requirement. The scope of work includes architectural, mechanical and electrical interventions to allow space for the new room. Chief architectural interventions are (but not limited to) to create a fire rated room, repainting floors/walls, firestop sealants and new signage/labels. Chief mechanical interventions are (but not limited to) to include sprinkler heads addition/removal, possible relocation of sprinkler pipes, plumbing pipes etc. and re-localization of some building equipment such as air compressor. Chief electrical interventions are (but not limited to) to include additional lighting as well as moving electrical wires/devices as needed. Consultant to carry out detail site investigation and analysis of the space.
The intent of the project is to provide a fire rated room around the existing fire pumps in Block C in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 20. The existing conditions are not compliant as the fire pumps are located within a room with stationary air compressors and general building storage. This actual situation needs to be remediated as architectural, mechanical and electrical changes are required to ensure safety in case of fire event.
