Description

Currently the water walls in Buildings 3 and 5 operate with a chlorine system. It was observed that a salt water system would eliminate the need for chlorine storage and a confined space designation in the pump pits. The study will aim to identify the cost, advantages, disadvantages and implications related to switching to a salt water system.
The effectiveness of salt water as a treatment for legionella will also be explored and a proper protocol will be established going forward.
