Statement of Work/Overview:

Description of Work:
.1 Installation of infrastructure to service freezer equipment; including but not be
limited to new service, transformer, distribution panel and where required
planned power shutdown, during the weekend / evening to install a new 600V,
90A MCCB, complete with appropriate pre-cut cover plate.
.2 Avoid disturbing hazardous material during construction; otherwise stop work.
See DSS report for details.
.3 Installation of temperature alarm panel (TAP) complete LCD display & LED
Strobe. The contractor shall allow a minimum of $15,000 for the head end
system, for this this scope of work which excludes sensors installation cost.
.4 TAP system shall be wall mounted and interfaced with the local BMS and
telephone system, to send alarm signal.
.5 Provide Installation of a temperature sensor, one per freezer and commission the
TAP system, to send alarm signals via telephone and BMS.
.6 Provide telephone connections to TAP system, minimum 3 POE lines.
.7 From TAP panel provide Communication cable to each fridge. Total 60
communication cable from TAP panel to respective freezers. Provide adequate
slack for future freezers.
.8 Provide 2/3 compartment wiremould & junction boxes, it shall be metal, as show
on the drawing including vertical rise to ceiling level.
 

• All individuals attending site must have current reliability status at time of project award to permit completion of required lab-specific training to allow working without an escort. If all required individuals (contractor & sub-contractors) aren’t able to complete lab training immediately upon project award, due to pending reliability status, contractor responsible for cost of commissionaire escort to facilitate completion of construction to meet substantial completion date of March 20 2020.

• Power interruptions must be co-ordinated 2 weeks in advance of planned event with BGIS project manager & BGIS facility team to inform tenants to complete necessary preparations
   
• Any odour causing chemicals to be utilized on-site must be pre-approved by lab community.
   
• Any noisy, disruptive, odour generating, or work that requires a power shut down must be completed after regular business hours
