PWG3224858 - North Site Lighting

Currently there are temporary fixtures strung up to illuminate the entrance of the Pavilion, emergency exit pathway between Building 10 and Building 2 as well as the pathway from the Pavilion to the bus stop located at the north end of the campus. These temporary fixtures are only meant to provide minimal lighting level compliance and do not meet the required lighting standards. 
This project will provide new exterior lighting in the following areas. The lighting North of the Pavilion, the main exit of the Pavilion entrance, emergency exit pathway between B10 and B2 as well as the pathway from the Pavilion to the bus stop located at the North end of the campus. Construction will include but not limited to, direct buried conduit, concrete encased duck bank, bollard luminaires and some (approximately 38) new post top mounted luminaires and installing Bollards as per plans and Specs. Also, part of the scope work includes the demolition of old existing light bases and conduit to be removed that are located directly in front of the Pavilion Building. Remove and re-install asphalt to existing pathways, clearing grub vegetation and pruning any trees intruding the pathway within 1m.
We anticipate the removal of 6 trees in total. Five are referenced on the IFT plans -L-01-B10 ( Transition Area) and the remaining one is referenced L-02 (North Ring Road). The Lighting will be powered by 2 separate buildings. All lighting from on the North Ring Road will be tied into the Pavilion Building. Lighting in the Building 10 courtyard area is an extension of the existing lighting connected to Building 2. This project was identified to rectify a Health and Safety issue of insufficient lighting for pedestrians using the North Campus pathways and emergency exit pathways. This is a high level overview of the scope of work additional work may also be listed as part of the the Plans and Specifications.
