GOC372552 – Upgrade Gangway and Upgrade Pontoons
 
Work of this Contract involves reparation of the existing marine facility at the Annacis Marine Base on Annacis Island, Delta, BC.  The work involves:
1. Temporarily decommission on-float hydro service for subsequent reinstallation;
2. Remove and dispose six deteriorated deck planks from gangway approach structure and replace with new;
3. Install raised profile expanded aluminum sheet over the deck surface of the gangway approach structure and secure with galvanized fencing staples;
4. Remove and dispose of existing fabricated steel transition plate between the gangway approach structure and the gangway.  Supply and install replacement fabricated aluminum transition plate.  Installation will involve modification of existing cleats and non-slip expanded metal on surface of gangway;
5. Fabricate and install extensions to the handrails on either side of the upper end of the gangway;
6. Salvage existing electrical infrastructure and gangway guide rails from existing landing float.  Remove and dispose of existing landing float, supply and install new landing float, connect and reinstate electrical infrastructure and gangway operation;
7. Remove and dispose twenty deteriorated deck planks from existing main float and replace with new;
8. Install raised profile expanded aluminum sheet over the deck surface of the new landing float and the existing main float.  Secure with galvanized fencing staples.
9. Remove and dispose existing timber tie-rails and raisers around perimeter of existing main float.  Replace with equivalent new;
10. Reposition existing HDPE wear strips on one mooring dolphin securing main float in position.
 
Please register with RFQ Administrator 48 hours prior to the site visit date (February 25, 2016) if attending mandatory site walkthrough.
