Brookfield GIS Workplace Solutions Inc. (“WSI”) invites submission for Contractor Qualification of Electrical Contractors to act as Prime Contractor in the performance of the Work required to complete an electrical service board and distribution system upgrade located at Victoria Courthouse, 850 BURDETT ST., VICTORIA, BC, V8W 1B4, with a preliminary construction estimate value of $2,000,000.
The purpose of this Request for Qualification is to qualify Contractors for an Invitation to Bid for the following Work including, but not limited to:
1. Provision of two new BC Hydro services (208V and 600V) to the facility including new padmount transformers, and associated structural and civil work.
2. Construction of a new main electrical room complete with new distribution equipment and sub-distribution. Architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical work.
3. Modification of areas used for sheriff training adjacent to the new electrical room.
4. Construction of a new fire rated room to enclose the emergency distribution equipment. Relocation of existing transfer switch.
5. Conversion of existing stationary room into a new electrical room.
6. Provision of new electrical equipment and feeders throughout the building complete with temporary power and hoarding requirements.
7. Demolition of existing main distribution equipment and BC Hydro service.
8. Demolition of existing distribution bus and feeders.
9. Replacement of panelboards and distribution boards, and associated architectural and electrical work.
10. Provision of new cable routes and perform coring, demolition, firestopping and restoration work.
11. Provision of new main building ground.
12. Replacement of Courtroom ceiling.
13. Upgrade of Courtroom lighting (luminaires, controls, emergency lighting).
14. Provision of temporary power, cabling, and distribution as necessary to facilitate phasing of the work to the Owner’s satisfaction. The Owner has critical equipment which must remain online at all times identified in bid documents.
15. Coordination of all work with the Owner, BC Hydro, AHJ, and Engineer.
The Submission of Qualifications (SOQ) will be evaluated and scored as per Appendix B by an Evaluation Committee consisting of a minimum of 3 Evaluators. The Evaluator scores will be totaled and divided by the number of Evaluators to determine the total points awarded to the Respondent in each category. Respondents must meet a minimum score of sixty (60) points to be Qualified.
All Respondents reaching the minimum score in Appendix B will have one (1) project reference check undertaken by WSI. The project reference check will be scored and evaluated. A Respondent will be required to achieve a minimum score of fifty (50) points on the project reference check to be Qualified. Information gathered during reference check shall remain confidential.
