Description

An Accessibility Audit was carried out by Schoeler & Heaton Architects on November 2019 (GOC1960604). The audit provides detailed evaluation of elements of the building, deficiencies and provides recommendations to achieve compliance with CAN/CSA-B651-18. Several elements of the building need to be revised to achieve compliancy, such as in the parking, travel route, exterior ramps and stairs, entrance areas, elevators, interior stairs & ramps, interior doors, miscellaneous interior upgrades, washrooms and kitchenettes. The consultant shall carry out a site review in conjunction with a detailed review of the audit and implement the recommendations outlined in the audit in its entirety.

Proponents are advised that there will be an Optional site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 1.4 above. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the Optional site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the back entrance of 350 King Edward, Ottawa, Ontario. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Proponents are advised that they must preregister via email to Abeera.Akram@bgis.com by date and time specified in item 1.4.1 of the RFP to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site.

Please wear all PPE equipment including face masks at all time

Proponents are advised that they MUST pre-register via email to Abeera.Akram@bgis.com to be authorized to access the site. Failure to pre-register will result in the Proponent’s Representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.

A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit.
