Description

The existing base building emergency generator NO.1 & NO.2 are Cummings V-12 400kW/500kVA 347/600 3-phase Units. The generator maintenance service provider has reported that both generator radiators are in poor condition with a high probability of failure should the generator be required to support life safety systems in the event of an electrical failure. If the radiators fail, the generators will not be able to function and support the base building emergency life safety equipment. There is a project proposed to replace both generators, however, the radiator issue needs to be addressed in the short term and the repairs cannot be deferred until the new generator replacement project is implemented.

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15 of the ITT document. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative outdoors at the rear of 125 Sussex, Ottawa on adjacent temporary entrance. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Abeera.Akram@bgis.com by date and time specified within item 2.6.15 of the ITT to be authorized to access the site.
