Description

All Floors will be Fully Modernized, with minimum construction, including;
• All Existing Furniture will be dismantled and removed, and new Furniture will be installed outside of the project scope. Electrical service pole disconnects and reconnects will be part of the General Contractors scope under BGIS. This information needs to be reflected on the consultant drawings.
• New Electrical Requirements (such as equipment) and new furniture requirements must be incorporated into the consultant package.
• Since new technology will be incorporated into this project,.
• Some of the existing walls will require new backing to account for the upgraded technology and addition of new white boards.
• A Lighting review needs to be included in the package to ensure that all work points, both open and enclosed are well lit as per the current standards.
• A Sound Attenuation review must be completed, and acoustical panels are to be added to define zones and enhance sound privacy.
• The location of a new water fountain is indicated on the design intent plans, specification, adequate electrical and plumbing and installation are to be included in the consultant package.
• A signage design package needs to be included into the consultant package

Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified above. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at 22 Eddy, Gatineau, QC. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
All individuals attending the site visit must bring their Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. There is a page count limit for the bid submission to this RFP. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.
3.3.1. Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Proposal and will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Please note that cover pages and mandatory documents would be considered in the mandatory page count.
