Aperçu de la portée des travaux Installation of an emergency exit door in the mail room, oush bar style. Information below has been provided by the client’s security group. - Doors are to be made of 18 Gauge hollow metal or solid core wood, with minimum thickness of 45 mm (1 ¾ in). (Ensure any fire rating requirements are met) - A view finder (peephole) with 180 degree angle, may be installed approximately 5’ from floor level;- Where hinges are exposed, at least 3 Industrial quality, tamper proof (pinned) hinges must be installed. Door framesMetal door frames are preferred. All door frames forming the perimeter access/egress points and interior secure rooms doors are to be 16 gauge coldrolled steel (CRS) installed with anti-spread bracing at both sides of the door approximately 48”from the floor near the center of the lock. Install double (jamb) studs at the door frame opening.Should wooden frames be used, they are to be reinforced in the strike area and blocked to prevent spreading.Ensure any fire rating requirements are metDoor hardwareIn this case, a heavy-duty commercial-grade mechanical push bar is suggested The door must be equipped with a door closer ULC-listed and labelled and it must latch automatically on closure.Note: All hardware installations must be fire code compliant and meet all other applicable codes.Electronic securityThe door must be equipped with a door contact, interconnected with the zone security panel (door must be closed for the system to arm)

Event Note

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified above. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at 30 Victoria Gatineau QC. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
All individuals attending the site visit must bring their Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
