Description

This project is classified as a Full Refit, involving demolition and construction, and will include but not limited to the following:-The demolition of the existing walls and millwork.-The incorporation of the PSPC - GC Workplace vision, including un-assigned seating, a variety of different work point options and collaborative areas.-The incorporation of Accessible Design Solutions, including accessible technology, furniture and space planning.-Update and Provide Modern Technology Solutions throughout the floor (AV – VC Equipment, Universal Docking Stations, WIFI, etc)-All Finishes will be related to the ESDC – GC workplace vision, to increase the visual for enhance accessibility.-Increase accessibility (above the current Act in place)-Ensure that travelling path throughout is meeting code requirements.-The construction of a new universal washroom with in the space, as well as an updated accessible kitchenette area.-A Lighting design review to ensure that all work points, both open and enclosed are well lit as per the current standards.-A Sound Attenuation review must be completed, and acoustical panels are to be added to define zones and enhance sound privacy-The Location of a new water fountain within the design solution.- New electrical requirements for IT equipment.- New writable surfaces in collaborative zones and closed rooms will need to be supplied and installed by contracor, following ESDC GC Workplace vision.

Event Note

Mandatory site visit to be held on the date and times specified. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the mandatory site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the Security Office, 140 Promenade du Portage IV, Gatineau, Québec. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Proponents must preregister via email to (Chady.Moussa@bgis.com) by (February 17th, 2021 before 2:00 PM) to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. There is a page count limit for the bid submission to this RFP. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.
3.3.1. Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Proposal and will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Please note that cover pages and mandatory documents would be considered in the mandatory page count.
