Description

The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, and equipment to complete the statement of work outlined in Attachment 04 – Specifications and Drawings.

Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Replacement of Five (5) existing fire hydrants and related mechanical components including hydrant body, operating stem, hydrant valve, thrust block/concrete support, isolation valve and box, gate valve and piping/fittings between the hydrants and isolation valves.

Excavation will be monitored by a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) and samples taken and tested for any contamination for proper direction of the soil removal and deposition.

Existing steel bollards will removed and re-installed with a new coats of paint finish to match the new fire hydrant finishes.

Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Jan.Dietrich@bgis.com by April 7th, 2021 to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site.

BGIS Maintenance Manager to provide escort. Job walk will be conducted in groups to limit the size of group and to maintain physical distancing. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
