Description

Scope of Work/Overview:
Work of this Contract comprises of replacing the existing 75kW diesel emergency generator with an 80kW propane generator. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Decommissioning and removal of the existing generator, generator exhaust system, generator exhaust stack, automatic transfer switch, generator isolation switch, Panelboard ‘C’ and diesel fuel oil storage system.
  • Expand existing generator room and upgrade the fire separation to a 1 hour fire rating c/w ULC listed fire door and frame.
  • Saw cut and remove floor at new generator location.
  • Installation of a new foundation for the new propane generator near the location where the existing generator foundation exists.
  • Installation of a new propane gas fired generator complete with exhaust system and stack.
  • Installation of a new automatic transfer switch.
  • Installation of a new propane gravel pad and rerouting of drainage ditch.
  • Installation of new propane tank and electric tank heaters.
  • Installation of new propane gas supplying piping from new storage tank to generator room.
  • Installation of a mechanical ventilation system and gas detection system in the event of a propane leak which could lead to an explosion or fire.
  • Installation of new Panel ‘C’.

    A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the Site. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Rajesh.Gupta@bgis.com by August 17th, 2021 to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site.

    Optional Site Visit will be held on August 19th 2021, at 11:00am EST. Please meet BGIS representative at parking lot. Please do not enter or knock on door.
