Description

Install non-combustible bird screen material at the perimeter of roof overhangs as shown in
the construction documents.
Coordinate with Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) for daily assessments to
confirm no wildlife are present immediately before bird screen is installed. Contractor to
provide lift or other device to facilitate a safe inspection at the area of work.
If any migratory birds or species at risk are observed within the structure during a daily
assessment by QEP, works will be required to stop and may only resume once a QEP
confirms appropriate permits are in place, if required.
Secure open soffits overnight or between workdays to prevent animals from entering the
completed work area.
Installation to take place outside of general bird nesting period as stated in the environmental
report. The optimal time window for Installation is between September 2021 and February 2022.

- Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Jan.Dietrich@bgis.com by September 30, 2021 before 2:00pm to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site.
- A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the site visit. Job walk will be conducted in groups to limit the size of group and to maintain physical distancing. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
