Description

Establish control barriers at the road entrance and exit to the tunnel. The tunnel exit door (Sussex/York) is comprised of rubber and requires either steel overhead doors in front/behind the existing rubber overhead door or iron gates similar to those at the entrance (as per RCMP Guide G1-005). Install window glazing (7mm) on ground level windows as per RCMP Guide G1-005 Section A.3.3. Remove and replace the wrought iron gate with a gate of similar or higher quality. Remove and replace three (3) overhead garage doors located at the North and South elevations with new doors of equal or higher quality; two of the doors are roll-up style equipped with automatic door openers and provide access to the tunnel; the smaller overhead door provides access to the entrance of the parking garage on Basement Level 1. The parking garage door opens and closes automatically and is controlled by sensors that control the flow of traffic in and out of the parking area.

Please meet BGIS Project Manager Laura Holland Representative at at the Connaught Building entrance of 555 Mackenzie, Ottawa, Ontario. Bring valid ID, face mask and PPE.
Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 1.0 of the Call Up Instruction Document.. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit.
Site visits will be conducted in small groups.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes/boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and face mask. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
