Description

Mechanical contractor services are required to perform the repairs of the existing cooling towers in building 6, 7, 8 & 9 and some associated components as described in the plans and specs provided by the consultant .
Number of domestic Cooling tower per building

Building 6 - PWG372247 1x Building 6 is equipped with one dual cell counter flow cooling tower original to the building construction (1998), made by Baltimore Air Coil (BAC). Each cooling tower cell has a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD).

Building 7 - PWG372248 - Building 7 is equipped with one dual cell counter flow cooling tower original to the building construction (1998), made by Baltimore Air Coil (BAC). Each cooling tower cell has a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD).

Building 8 - PWG372250 - Building 8 is equipped with one dual cell counter flow cooling tower original to the building construction (1998), made by Baltimore Air Coil (BAC). Each cooling tower cell has a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD).

Building 9 - PWG372249 - Building 9 is equipped with one dual cell counter flow cooling tower original to the building construction, made by Baltimore Air Coil (BAC). Each cooling tower cell has a dedicated variable frequency drive (VFD).

Project must be completed in the following order and completed for the following dates

Building 8 - PWG372250 - No later than November 30th 2016
Building 9 – PWG372249 - No later than November 30th 2016
Building 6 - PWG372247 - No later than December 23rd 2016
Building 7 - PWG372248 - No later than December 23rd 2016

All Respondents interested in participating in this tender requirement are to register in advance by emailing a completed version of the Ellis Don Security & Life Safety Pre-Registration Access Form (uploaded on Merx) to procurement.carlingtunneys@brookfieldgis.com by the date and time identified above.

Each firm will be limited to a maximum of two (2) attendees for this showing.

Minimum security screening level of Reliability (issued by CISD) is required to access the construction site. Escorting of un-cleared personnel is NOT permitted.

Firms failing to pre-register within the stipulated time frame may not be granted access to the site on the date of the job showing and therefore not able to submit a compliant bid.

Event Note

Respondents who have pre-registered may attend a mandatory site meeting. Respondents are to meet Miguel Valiquette (613-889-5309) at the WEST entrance of Building 2 at the Carling Campus, 3500 Carling Avenue Ottawa Ontario. Bidders will require government issued photo ID to sign in with security and to sign the mandatory Site Visit Attendance Sheet.
Only pre-registered personnel will be granted access.
The following PPE must be worn to attend the job showing:
1. Hard hat
2. Safety glasses
3. 6 inch high steal toe boots ( Green triangle tag)
4. High visibility safety vest
5. Long pants and sleaved shirt no dresses/shorts
6. No cut off shirts
