Description

Scope of Work/Overview:
The existing 600A, 120/208V main distribution panel” DP-CDP” is old Westinghouse panel located in the basement electrical room and supplies power to the entire building. The project consists of replacing the existing main distribution panel with a new shorter height panel that fit in the room. Review the project specific designated survey (DSS) report to determine abatement or other corrective measures that are required. A short circuit evaluation and arc flash study and labeling are required for this new switchgear.
Refer to tender documents in MERX for scope details. Include HAZMAT abatement work where required.
Important Notes: 86 Clarence St. building was designated as Classified (Heritage). GC to consider this when doing work at site.
GC to ensure the Attendance sheet at the mandatory site visit is signed by their company rep, or bid may be disqualified.

This is a mandatory site visit, contractor to review all attachments and send questions promptly and prior to deadline.
A mandatory site visit during the tender process is required.
Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Rajesh Gupta at rajesh.gupta@bgis.com before/latest by (June 28th, 2022 at 2:00:00 PM) to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times. Bidders are only required to attend one scheduled site visit to be eligible to bid. Ensure signing on Consultant’s list of attendees prior to leaving the site, otherwise bid my be disqualified. Any conditions or issues found to be causing deviation from original scope of work, creating potential health and safety concerns, or resulting in delay in implementing the work, must immediately be brought to the BGIS Project Manager’s attention prior to questions deadline date.

All Proponents MUST arrive on time and MUST stay for the entire Mandatory Site Visit. Any Proponent that arrives late or does not stay for the entire Mandatory Site Visit Will be considered noncompliant.
In the event that less than three Proponents attend the site tour, BGIS may cancel the solicitation or schedule an alternative site tour.
