GOC338337-NOO-RFQ - Contractor Services - Add Lighting Sensors to HRSDC Basement File Room

Statement of Work/Overview:
Occupancy sensors detect the presence or absence of people and turn lights on and off accordingly. Used properly, occupancy sensors can be a cost-effective tool for reducing the operating time and output of lighting systems thereby cutting energy consumption.
These sensors are used most effectively in spaces that are often unoccupied such as in the case of the HRSDC Basement File Room. On an average day, the filing room is occupied 3-5 hours during the hours of 8 am to 3.30pm. Not all sections of the room is always occupied at the same time, therefore savings can be achieved with the installation of sensors.
Proposed design for installation of occupancy sensors in the HRSDC Basement File Room is as follows:
 
Filing room divided into three (3) Zones, for the proposed installation of fourteen (14) Sensors
(4) Hallway sensors - 150 ft2 (45.7 m2) coverage per sensor (Dual Technology)
(8) 360O dual technology sensors - 2000 ft2 (610 m2) coverage per sensor (Dual Technology)
(2)  180O dual technology sensors - 529 ft2 (49 m2) coverage per sensor (Dual Technology)
Sensors will be hard wired to four (4) control boxes
Control box will be hard wired to six (6) Energy Saving Node Soft switches
 
With the installation of proposed lightning control system in the HRSDC Basement File Room, a reduction in energy consumption is expected to be achieved annually.
