GOC450209-JAN-RFP - Consulting Services - Investigation of Carbon Monoxide Sensor System Study Only

Consultant to investigate existing carbon monoxide and methane gas detection system to determine
compliance to code and provide options for improvement.
 
At present there is a sensor able to detect carbon monoxide and methane gas which is located inside the boiler room (basement). The sensor is only connected to a localized alarm. Should this sensor activate when the building operator is off site no one would be aware of this alarm.
 
There are residents living on the 2nd floor and occupy the space outside of regular business hours. If the alarm was activated outside regular business hours the residents may be exposed to carbon monoxide or methane gas resulting in a H+S Risk.
 
Consultant to review sequence of current system configuration. Consultant to identify code
requirements, risks (including H+S), options to correct, recommendations, and costs associated with the recommended option.
