Overall project scope is to install cooling units and associated components within the specified facility as defined within the drawings, specifications and supporting documentation issued under this posting.
All individuals working within the 101 Goldenrod Driveway site will be required to hold at minimum a valid Reliability or greater Security clearance in order to be granted access onto this site. The successful contracting firm will be required upon project award and as part of this award to immediately complete and submit directly to the DND Security screening authority the Access Forms for their personnel to be granted Site Access passes to the 101 Goldenrod site. The successful firm will be fully responsible to complete this Access Approval process using their own internal forces and labour at their own cost in order to process and obtain the access passes. The successful bidding contractor will also be required under their own effort and associated costs ensure that their subcontractors under this project will also complete and submit directly to the DND Security authority the Access Forms in order for their personnel to be granted Site Access passes to the project site. The contractor acknowledges under their submission that Escorts on this project will only be provided to the contractor under special and exceptional circumstances and those conditions will be validated by and ultimately decided by the BGIS Project Manager otherwise the use of escorts for regular activities will not be approved or provided.
This site continues to require facial covering within all areas of the facility where social distancing requirements are not maintainable. Contractors will conduct their works with the facility in acknowledgment and accordance to all of the facility's health and safety protocols.
Costs associated with the bypassing of the building fire alarm panel by the contracted service provider for this building will be carried by the project contractor and included as a component of their tender price submission.
