Description

Scope of Work/Overview:
Provide a Base Bid Price for the removal of existing revolving doors and supply and install new security gate turnstiles at the main entrance of Level 2. Work is located at the Taxation Data Centre, located at 1050 Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury ON.
Generally, the scope includes; removal of 3 existing revolving doors and replacement with 4 new security turnstiles with all related accessories at the Level 2 entrance lobby.; supply and installation of new glazed aluminum screens for extent indicated; cutting patching and repair of existing floor finishes, walls and bulkheads for extent indicated; supply and installation of new carpet flooring and resilient base; electrical/security service alterations as necessary to complete the removal of 3 revolving doors and the installation of the 4 new security turnstiles; DSS related awareness/work as required.
The contractor is to create/submit a hoarding plan (which is to be agreed upon by the consultant and PM prior to commencing construction) in order to limit on site disruption for ingress and egress of staff, and so as to not impact regular business operations for CRA. The contractor is to survey work area before commencing work and to co-ordinate with the engineer for any construction interferences and discrepancies.

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15 in ITT document. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the Site. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Rajesh.Gupta@bgis.com by 3:00 pm, January 18, 2023 to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times. Bidders are only required to attend one scheduled site visit to be eligible to bid.
COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to at all times where possible. All individuals are to follow Federal and Provincial guidelines as they relate to Covid 19 preventative measures.
Proponents are to meet at the Front Lobby of the Building and are to ensure that they register their name and title as well as their company name with BGIS.
