Description

The project intent is to address all immediate emergency items pertaining to Health and Safety of the public. Work includes but not limited to resetting all misaligned granite slabs at both South and East stairs. Replace damaged stone sections of the granite step and restore worn-out surfaces to prevent any slips. Additional scope of work also included and are described within the Design Drawings and Specifications provided.
General Contractor Notes if required:
Any signage required as part of the SOW must also be in both official languages if not already specifically identified within the Tender Drawings and Specifications. 
If required, contractors are responsible to engage the Building service providers for Alarm bypasses and Hot Work Permits. Building Service provider for EMB is Tondra Nikitin (Ottawa) tondra.nikitin@troylfs.com is our contact for Troy. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to contact this service provider and obtain a quote to include in their bid price submission.

    Please meet BGIS  Project Manager at the security desk of NATIONAL LIBRARY & PUBLIC ARCHIVES, 395 Wellington St, Ottawa, ON. Bring valid ID, face mask and PPE. 
    Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 2.6.15. of the ITT Document.. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. 
     
    All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes/boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and face mask. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

    Proponents are advised that they MUST preregister via email to anne.ethier@bgis.com by the date specified within the item 2.6.15. of the ITT Document, to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponent’s Representative being refused access to the site. 
     
    BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
     
    COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to at all times where possible. All individuals are to follow Federal and Provincial guidelines as they relate to Covid 19 preventative measures.
