Description

The selected Contractor is required to implement a shoring system to support the roof
overhang which is currently being supported by the existing columns. It is the Contractor’s
responsibility to submit stamped shop drawings for, supply and install a Temporary Shoring
system to support the roof structure at the site. This is to also include any required site
preparation, bracing, soil compaction and any other work required to securely shore the area
in question.

2.7.1. Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15 above. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the 5070 Sideline 22, Pickering, Ontario L1Y 1A3. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to (rajesh.gupta@bgis.com) by (May 19, 2023 at 2:00pm) to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times. Bidders are only required to attend one scheduled site visit to be eligible to bid. Bidders will be notified of any changes to the date of the site visit by Addenda. 2.7.2. All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
