2024 Scope of Work

Comply with requirements of the Section when performing the following work as identified within the Scope of Work:

1. Patching and repairing drywall with asbestos-containing joint compound if:

The material is wetted to control the spread of dust or fibres, and the work is completed with non-powered hand tools.

2. Removing less than 1 m2 of drywall, if drywall is in fair/good condition.
3. Localized plaster repair provided no debris is present or generated by the repair.
4. Abatement contractor to repair finishes to make ready to receive paint.
5. Abatement contractor to retain a qualified painting sub-contractor to paint surfaces to match existing.

Event Note

Please meet BGIS Project Manager at the Sussex entrance, Connaught building, Ottawa, Ontario. Bring valid ID, face mask and PPE.
Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 2.6.15. of the ITT Document.. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes/boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and face mask. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Pre-Registration is no longer required.
