Description

Currently there are no emergency lights within the air plenums situated behind the main units in mechanical room 4. Service is required within these areas as there are dampers and other mechanical systems within these service spots. To access many of these areas to service items such as dampers ladders are required as one needs to get above units. The purpose of this project is to provide emergency lighting within the air plenums located behind the main AHUs (air handling units) 1,3,5,7 on floor 4 (North Tower, Centreblock and South tower). It would be necessary to bring new power into the spaces, either connected to emergency power or to install battery operated emergency lights that are appropriately mounted and rated for use within a plenum space.

Event Note

Please meet BGIS Project Manager at the Mckenzie Security Entrance of the 101 Colonel By Drive building, Ottawa, Ontario. Bring valid ID and PPE. Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 2.6.15. of the ITT Document.. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes/boots, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Pre-Registration is no longer required.
