Conduct a power systems study to protect employees from electrical arcs that may occur during a failure of electrical equipment and improve the coordination of protective equipment. The studies shall include the short circuit study, arc flash analysis and protection coordination in accordance with the regulation CSAZ462 "Workplace Electrical Safety" and IEEE 1584 and with other applicable laws and regulations. Provide and install arc flash labels, verify and update single-wire diagrams for the electrical distribution as part of this scope.
Note: Please refer to the Scope of Work (SOW) for a comprehensive description of tasks, project requirements, and deliverables.
Electrical installations personnel may be exposed to electrical arcs during their daily tasks. However, there is a need to validate the safety of electrical installations and the protection of the personnel who work there. Electrical arc hazard analyses and studies of short-circuit, application and coordination of protections, as well as the demand for expertise in electrical incidents, are required. Experts should propose and recommend solutions to reduce risk by optimizing protection settings and improving working methods through staff awareness and training. Cyclical Project.
