Description

Following the flood incident at Portage II on April 4, 2025, significant repairs are required to restore the affected bathrooms and drywall areas
that were damaged or removed due to the water infiltration. The flood, originating from a broken roof drain, impacted 13 floors, resulting in the
removal of drywall and other building materials to prevent further water damage and mold growth. The repairs will focus on replacing the
removed drywall, repairing any damaged bathroom fixtures, and restoring the affected areas to full functionality. This will include addressing
drywall replacement, painting, and other necessary improvements to ensure the bathrooms are fully operational and meet safety standards.
The goal is to restore the building’s facilities to their original state.

Respondents are advised that there will be an Mandatory site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 1.4.1 above. A maximum of one representative of each Respondent, or its authorized representative, is permitted to attend the Mandatory site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS representative at the security desk main level Portage I&II, 50 Victoria, Gatineau, Quebec.
Respondents will be notified by Addenda of any changes to the date of the site visit. Bidders cannot use a representative from another Respondent as its authorized representative to attend the site visit. All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site. Respondents are expected to carefully examine the site, fully inform themselves of the existing conditions and limitations and include in their fee Quotation all costs required to meet the terms of the Contract
