GOC327423 - Implementation - Contractor Services - Contractor – South Wall Drainage and Grading

Statement of Work/Overview:
As a summary, the scope of work includes the following:

1. The intent is to lower the grade along the south wall and provide surface drainage. Drainage is provided by a new storm sewer to be connected with the existing system at the top of the loading dock area. Work to be completed includes excavation, civil work, backfill, grading, repair hard and soft landscape to match existing.
2. If excavation requires access on the neighbor’s property, it will be up to the contractor to make those arrangements along with support from BGIS including the removal and replacement of the existing fence and other elements and making good existing utilized surfaces.
3. Re-grading of the side yard along the south wall exposing the existing grade beam by 200mm and creating a 2% slope, shedding surface water away from the building.
4. Introducing 3 new catch basins to drain the accumulation of roof rainwater and accumulated surface waters.
5. All civil and mechanical works as indicated and as required to make the connections of underground drainage water sewers and all required services.
6. Provide the services of a registered master electrician to identify the existence of subterranean electrical conduits and insure their protection against any interference of civil works. Special care to be given to existing transformer and its wiring.
7. Provide the services of the local gas providing company and insure that any subterranean gas lines is adequately protected according to the gas providing protocols.
8. Replacement of new concrete pads at exit doors.
9. Repairing and making good of modified existing concrete curbs, loading dock concrete floor once all civil works are achieved. Finish identical to existing conditions.
10. Landscaping works of sod, compacted gravel, concrete curbs, replacement of damaged fence.
