GOC6778195 - CS - GOC6778195 - CS BGIS Delivered Sound Transfer Mitigation

Project to address sound issues in shared working spaces at 303 Main. Project to incorporate recommendations of sound proofing study completed in December 2024 (Project Number: GOC6303015). This includes installation of acoustic caulking, sound baffling panels, door sweeps, insulation, and a sound masking system installed in identified areas. Various offices fail to meet acceptable noise levels for staff working environments on floors 6, 8 and 9. Notably, conversations between rooms are easily audible, adversely affecting productivity and security/privacy. Additionally, the noise generated by heating radiators warrants consideration for potential solutions as there was significant sound transfer caused by open spaces and gaps between the radiators in the adjacent rooms. We ask the recommended mitigation solutions to be done on the 8th floor first to determine if recommendations address the sound issues. If the solutions are found to address the issue, we would like to continue the work on the 6th and 9th floor.
