PWG372324-1 - Ramp Repair (Construction Services)

Replace existing landing, stairs and ramp and reinstate railings in Pavillion Building.
This includes but is not limited to:
The entire landing structure will be removed, preserving the existing foundation and footings, a new
structure will be built in place with proper slope away from the building to prevent water ponding. All the limestone panels at the landing and at the stairs will be replaced with similar panels, matching the color texture and size in order to conserve the heritage value.
The concrete ramp will also be removed, preserving the existing foundation and footings, a new ramp to be installed with barrier free requirements. The Guardrails and handrails will be removed during demolition. The railings will be reinstated to fit new structure, modified to meet existing building code, sanded, cleaned and re‐painted (galvanized) with similar color to preserve its heritage value. The threshold at the main entrance will be replaced with a new one.
A color contrast strip will be painted at the full length at the top and bottom of the ramp and at each stair nosing. Install tactile indicators and remove and reinstall pathway pavers and curbing with corrected/improved grading.
