1. Drain domestic water system as required to facilitate installation of new combination emergency shower and eye/face wash. Remove insulation as required from existing domestic water piping to facilitate construction
2. Provide combination emergency shower and eye/face wash. Anchor to concrete floor and install as per manufacturer’s instructions. Provide thermostatic mixing valve and mount on wall as per manufacturer’s instructions. Provide new and modify existing domestic water piping as indicated on drawings to serve thermostatic mixing valve and combination emergency shower and eye/face wash. Repair and insulate new piping as required and as per specifications
3. Install eyewash, shower, thermostatic mixing valve, solenoid valve and timer as per manufacturers recommendations and in accordance with:

3. Install eyewash, shower, thermostatic mixing valve, solenoid valve and timer as per manufacturers recommendations and in accordance with:
- pwgsc md15161-2013 addendum c, control of legionella in mechanical systems chapter 6 hot water system
- ansi standard z358.1-2014 “emergency eyewash and shower equipment”
- set existing hot water tank temperature to 60°c (140°f)
- set thermostatic mixing valve to 29°c (85°f)
- flush all plumbing piping and disinfect to md15161-2013 addendum 3 section 6.2.12-6.2.14.4
