GOC754675-STA-RFP - CONSULTANT - Consultant Services - SDS-ECM #6 & 7.2 Replace Lighting & Upgrade Water Fixture

Statement of Work/Overview:
 
GENERAL SCOPE (Lighting):
The Project has been identified in an Energy Audit Report completed by BGIS during fiscal year 2016-17. Upgrading existing lighting with energy efficient LEDs results in demand reduction and electricity savings.
A reputable and qualified electrical consultant is required to undertake an analysis/inventory/lighting calculation of the existing lighting conditions within the facility, as well as provide the design and specifications for retrofit/replacement of the current fixtures to new LED. Testing of replacement bulbs should be undertaken prior to full replacement to ensure compatibility with current ballasts and light intensity and colour is suitable for office application. Consultant to refer to Appendix 10 - Lighting Retrofit IAR Energy Requirements and Appendix 11 - Lighting-Audit Form & Calculation Report to be utilized during analysis/design review.
Copy of the Energy and Water Audit Report has been attached as Appendix 13 - Energy and Water Audit Report. Prior to the consultant's IAR creation, a mock up will be necessary as outlined in the respective project's Requirements Document.
In addition, the consultant shall include in the Investment Analysis Report a lighting controls option to include daylight harvesting into the new LED lighting system.
Refer to the project's Requirements Document for further scope of services, including detailed requirements for Commissioning and Environmental aspects of the project. The consultant shall provide services as described in the Scope of Work document for this project.
 
GENERAL SCOPE (Water Fixtures):
The Project has been identified in an Energy Audit Report completed by BGIS during fiscal year 2016-17. Retrofit washroom fixtures to reduce water consumption. It is recommended that all tank toilets be replaced with modern 3 [LPF] units to significantly reduce domestic water consumption. Consultant to evaluate reccomendation within IAR. In addition to toilets, replacing existing bathroom faucet aerators with new ones meeting modern lowflow
standards. Some older faucets may require an adapter to accept the new aerators. Consultant to evaluate the cost of this measure compared to the expected water and natural gas savings and make recommendation. Consultant to evaluate utility and cost savings within the IAR. Consultant to refer to Appendix 12 - Water Fixtures Retrofit IAR Energy Requirements to be utilized during analysis/design review.
