GOC754268 - Consultant - Common Areas Lighting Retrofit and Lighting Control

The majority of the lighting within the common areas in the property consists of linear fluorescent T8 fixtures with 32 [W] lamps and electronic ballasts, as well as twin-tube fluorescent lamps. The lighting of the building was upgraded from T12 to T8 in 2011. It was recommended to replace the existing linear fluorescent lamps with their LED tube equivalent and the existing halogen bulbs with their LED counterparts, will provide energy savings and reduce peak demand. It was also recommended to add lighting controls (standalone occupancy sensors) in areas that show opportunity for appreciable energy savings, including the washrooms on each floor and the board rooms. Because the lighting of the building has been upgraded to T8 five years ago, it could be an option to look at the control part of this project only. It means leaving the lighting as is and installing new controls.
