PWG579833, PWG580313 - Steam and Chilled Water Valves H&S Engineering Solutions & Investigation

The purpose of this project is to review all instances of steam and chilled water valves (e.g. isolation and switch over valves) in the Jeanne Mance and Statistics Canada Building that are in locations that exceed the maximum height allowed by BGIS’ Health and Safety policy for working from heights and summarize them in a report. The report will identify deficiencies and hazards associated with accessing the valves. It will recommend engineering solutions, which are compliant with all applicable regulations and BGIS Health and Safety policies, to allow safe access to the steam and chilled water valves in the buildings. The intent of PWG579883 for the Jeanne Mance Building is for full implementation while PWG580313 for the Statistics Canada Building is for study only.
