Description

Trane's Adaptive (AFD) upgrade adds variable speed control to CenTraVac chiller compressors. New
upgrades to the chiller controls is required due to new technology - parts are no longer manufactured.
This upgrade will reduce energy consumption, improve chiller unloading range, and allow softer
starts. Upgrade will need to increase motor life, and provide quieter chiller operation. Currently,
Chiller is without VFDs and is outdated. Summer operation is 24/7.
Upgrade of existing chiller controls with new high efficient and environmentally friendly. Trane
chillers have been maintained by the Manufacture since construction but the controls are beyond life
expectancy. The new controls will solve the requirements to accurately control the chillers for the
building.
An actual upgrade will provide utility savings to substantiate lower consumption. The proposed is
environmentally friendly and will provide an increase of efficiency for its operation and accurate
control.

Note: This is Trane Equipment. DDC for building is by Reliable.

Bring your PWGSC Reliability number with you. If you hold a valid FAII or RCMP RRS clearance please have it with you at the time of the site visit. Building technician will be leading the site visit.
