GENERAL SCOPE:
Work of this Contract comprises of designated substance Removal at the Cornwall Armoury Located at 505 Fourth Street East, Cornwall.

Clarification:
Question: Can you please clarify the extent of the acoustical panel re-fit work? Is this work limited to Room 217 – 2nd
Floor? [MS] Answer: Room 217 is the only area where asbestos-containing ceiling tiles are being abated and replaced with
non-asbestos containing ceiling.
Question: Will all the furniture, accessories, movable objects etc. remain in place during the scope of work or will the
contents be removed and or re-located by OTHERS, prior to commencing any work? [MS] Answer: Abatement will be done
under Type 2 Glove bag procedure in Work Areas 1 to 5, meaning it will be a Glove bag enclosing damaged pipe
insulation. If there are non-porous stationary items that are not too close to where Glove bag enclosure will be set up, they
can remain in the room. Ceiling tile removal in Work Area 6 will be done under regular Type 2, so any non-stationary items
should be cleaned and removed from the room prior to the abatement work. Non-porous stationary items should be
cleaned and covered with poly before abatement work begins.
Question: Is there a requirement for air monitoring for this project? If yes, who is responsible for carrying any costs for this
work? [MS] Answer: All work is Type 2 and air sampling is not mandatory.
Question: Basement Rooms 12, 13, 15, indicate ACM piping to be present above solid plaster ceilings. As gaining access
is limited and there are no current access points to remove and re-insulate the piping located above the plaster ceilings,
are we able to remove minor sections of plaster and install access hatches in order to complete the scope of work? [MS]
Answer: If there are no other access hatches to the ceiling space, they will have to remove part of the plaster ceiling for
access. However, this will have to be approved by the client.
