Description

The City of Winnipeg has served notice of violation for the backflow devices at this facility. The existing backflow valve in the water pump room is a single swing check valve which has failed and there is one sprinkler line in the fire pump room which has no backflow prevention installed. In order to comply with the City of Winnipeg Bylaw 2015/107, new double check valve assembly (DCVA) type backflow valves are required, complete with shutoff valves and supervisory signals.
