GOC326519 - Repair Bird Netting

The scope of work for this project is to make functional the existing bird netting by either repairing the existing
or providing new bird netting. The existing netting system had become inoperable; due to several years of
weather related conditions and the inability for operational staff to access various areas needing repair
Several sections of the existing netting have pulled away from their supports and some of the zippered
entryways have become damaged. The existing netting is a black synthetic netting with heavy zippered
entryways in several locations. Repair or Replace (with new) the existing netting and address the requirement
for maintenance by the supply and installation of a suitable means / method of accessing various area(s) of
the netting; thus, allowing operational staff to complete repairs. Special care is to be given to the prevention of
any damage(s) to the roof and associated structures. Due to the location of the work craning may be required
and crane / operator certifications will be required to be submitted to Brookfield GIS Project Manager, for
review, prior to any work beginning. In the event that staging is required evidence of its installation /
certification will be required. Trade Certification, First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Protection will be required. 5
Story Building. Fall Protection will be required. Replace / Repair existing netting system and install an
appropriate means of access.
