GOC337634 - Revolving Doors Plans and Specs

The revolving door at the Winnipeg Tax Centre is not functioning properly. The doors are locked in a fixed open position to allow access. During cold weather, drafts from outside flow directly into the open front lobby space when the exterior doors are opened, creating cold zones at the entrance and throughout the building. During summer months, this issue creates a higher heat load in the building. This situation is resulting in higher energy costs and impacting tenant operations.The revolving door requires a permanent repair or replacement that would be covered under a warrantee with replacement parts available locally. An option to remove the existing revolving door and replace with standard entrance doors that meet all accessibility requirements should also be investigated. Investigation, Plans and Specifications for replacement are required.
