GOC333315 - Boiler and Humidification Upgrade

Mechanical Consultant to provide Study, IAR, Plans and Specifications to replace boilers with condensing units and upgrade current humidification source and supply. Currently there are two steam boilers hooked up with natural gas and diesel backup. Replace heating and cooling piping components including in particular the concealed piping sections as these sections are beyond their expected service life.  They were not refurbished in 2002 when the piping was upgraded. The chemical treatment over the life of the building has been inconsistent thus the condition of the piping is suspect. This project will address energy waste associated with steam boilers, health and safety issues associated with indoor air quality and the potential of equipment damage due to steam release or burst pipes. Scope is to investigate and report, create plans and specifications this fiscal year.
