GOC372112 - Elevator Hoist Rope and Rewire Controller Circuit Repairs

Consulting Services.

Replace all hoist ropes on Elevator #1 and rewire controller circuit. Consultant to also verify and review the rewiring already completed on controllers for remaining elevators.
Elevator #1 has currently been shutdown since February 19, 2015 due to a near miss safety incident that which was a result of an OEM controller malfunction/fault. The damages to elevator #1 was caused by OEM part that is not covered under the maintenance contract. The following is required to get the elevator back into service:
1) Replace all hoist ropes, they came off the sheave in the incident and are damaged and cannot be reused.
2) Install new rope guards on sheaves after rope replacement
3) Fire up controller and determine further mechanical/electronic repairs that may be necessary and can only be identified once elevator can travel the hoist way only after the ropes have been installed.
4) Implement MCE controller modifications (OEM fix to controller failure)
5) Test, commission and inspection of elevator with federal inspector
6) All government submissions and permit required by the BCSA

The consultant is to complete an Investment Analysis Report as part of the project. All services are outlined in Appendix 1 of the RFQ package.

Please provide your fixed fee based on the full implementation of the project. The intention of the project deliverables is to tender-ready in FY2015/2016 (Fiscal ends on March 31, 2016). According to the Schedule of Fee Calculations in Appendix 2, Schematic Design Phase, Design Development Phase and Construction Documents phase is required to be complete for a tender ready project. If funds become available and the schedule allows, we will continue with full implementation this fiscal.

The time zone listed in the RFP documentation is Pacific Standard Time (PST). The time zone listed in Merx is Eastern Standard Time (EST). Please be aware of the appropriate closing dates and times according to the RFQ documentation.
