Description

Provide all material and labour required for the completion of the work outlined in the tender documents, specifications and drawings.
Remove existing smoke vent doors and associated insulation mounted on facility roof. Concrete curbs to remain.
Remove existing cap and base roof as specified on drawings.
Disconnect existing grounding, power and fire alarm monitoring wiring from existing doors. Retain wiring for connection to new hatches.
Supply and install new smoke vent hatches as specified on drawings.
Supply and install new base and cap roof membrane to match existing.
Supply and install new metal cap flashing around existing concrete curb.
Reconnect existing grounding connections to ensure proper bonding to grounding system.
Supply and install new position switches for connection to fire alarm monitoring system as per electrical drawings.
Supply and install new power control devices as noted on electrical drawings for powering new actuators. Re-use existing wiring where possible. Fire stop existing wiring penetrations through concrete. Fire stopping shall have a rating of 2-hours.
Retain services of existing base building fire alarm system maintenance contractor to provide testing and verification in accordance with noted standards on drawings.
Make good repair area to match existing site conditions.
Comply with the requirements of the NCB 2010, OBC 2012 and Occupational Health and Safety Act and authorities having jurisdiction to facility the scope of work.
Provide temporary shoring and bracing as required for these operations.
All structural work shall conform to standards specified on drawings.
Red line existing single line diagram and fire alarm riser diagram and provide to engineer for revision. The contractor shall carry the printing and laminating of three (3) full size copies of each drawing. These drawings have been provided in Appendix B for reference.
The contractor shall apply and pay for the building permit. The Consultant shall provide stamped drawings and required forms to the contractor for submission of the building permit.
