GOC389721 - IRB Meeting Room Reconfiguration & Hearing Room Insulation - Consulting Services

IRB requests to convert the current ‘Collaborative Space’ on the 18th floor into two separate meeting rooms with the following functionalities:
 
- The area will be partitioned into thirds where one of the rooms will occupy two thirds for video conferencing purposes and the other one third for meeting room purposes
- IRB would like to keep as some of the existing glass panels (dependent on sound transfer/privacy concerns) and install entrance doors and walls in between these glass panels. Regular doors will be installed and no insulation is required. Two entrance doors will be installed swinging into the rooms with a left handed door installed for the video conferencing room and a right handed door for the other meeting room.
- Fully reinforced insulated walls all the way to the ceiling. Sound masking and insulation needed on all walls including the partition wall. (Electronic sound masking is already in place)
- HVAC should be equally distributed in these two meeting rooms. Also, there are two additional spots near the collaborative space with additional HVAC concerns that need to be reviewed.
- Upgraded lighting with HVAC capability with separate diffusers. Lighting fixtures will be replaced with ones suitable for VC meeting rooms to rid shadows reflected on the walls, participants, etc.
- Electrical and data outlets will be installed on the partition wall to accommodate video conferencing equipment.
- A separate thermostat will be installed for the video conferencing room. Air balancing is required.
- Lighting design and recommendation on lighting fixtures completed. The design is to be used in the contractor tender and incorporated into this project. This includes lighting in the two meeting rooms, one hearing room on the 17th floor and one meeting room on the 16th floor.
 
IRB also requests to upgrade sound insulation for the following hearing rooms
- 18th Floor – Room 18-11-H (ceiling insulation)
- 18th floor – Room 18-13-C (insulation on 2 walls)
- 16th floor – Room 16-B-01 (insulation on 1 wall)
- 16th floor – Room 16-0-02 (ceiling insulation)
 
Should the schedule allow tenant would like the project completed by March 31, 2016
