GOC372942-CT - Fire Damper Inspection, Identification and Access Points

The building requires an inventory of the fire dampers to be created as per the CMMS schedule. Currently annual inspections are done, but access inside of the ductwork is restricted, in order to perform the 4 year testing access points must be modified. As per code requirement all the fire dampers should be tested in order to meet fire life safety code. In older buildings the fire dampers are not identified on plans or accessible to visually inspect the damper. Proper access points need to be created with a proper inventory.
