GOC1901428-CS - PDP IV Exit Capacity Remediation - PC

BGIS is seeking consulting services for the PDP IV Exit Capacity project to remedy the issue of inadequate exit capacity in the building with maximum occupancy. The consultant must design and provide a solution for the exit capacity to meet or exceed the NBCC National Building code of Canada for maximum occupancy. The design and construction of a stairwell on the exterior of the existing building envelope is the proposed solution to accommodate maximum occupancy requirements, however the consultant must verify its feasibility. The stairwell will be enclosed and fully integrated to the existing building with access on all floors. If the initial design solution is not feasible, the consultant must propose and design a feasible solution to allow maximum occupancy in the building as per the NBCC. Fees for this alternate design (if necessary) are to be included in the fees of this RFP.
