Description

During the Enhanced Indoor Air Quality managed by PSPC, WSP found 7 areas with potential mould. Their recommmandation was to remove the portion of drywall with mould as an immediate action, followed by a more in depth investigation to confirm all mould impacted materials are removed as well as identify the cause of mould.The project consist of implementing further investigation into the openings to understand where the water intrusion is occuring and implement the short term actions required to stop future leaks from occuring. The project will also increase the size of openings (as required) to remove (or clean) any remaining mould impacted materials afterwhich the the openings will be closed. All materials contaminated with mould should be removed and walls repaired. Mould decontamination work must be carried out according to relevant industry standards—and consider the potential presence of asbestos in drywall joint compound which could be disturbed by the remediation work. * non porous materials where traces of mould are detected such as metal studs and concrete floor should be fully disinfected following industry practices prior to closing wall openings.The openings are located : 4th floor (15/25) -1 opening, 11th floor- closed office (15/25) -1 opening, 17th floor (10W) -3 openings, 18th floor-closed office (10W) -1 opening, 19th floor- Boardroom (10W) -1 opening. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at 15, Eddy Street, Gatineau, Québec, J8X 4B3.
Site visits will be conducted in small groups.
All individuals attending the site visit must bring a photo ID as well as their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. There is a page count limit for the bid submission to this RFP. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.
3.3.1. Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Proposal and will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Please note that cover pages and mandatory documents would be considered in the mandatory page count.
