GOC333270 - Implementation - Contractor Services - Duplex Foundation Repairs and Grading

Statement of Work/Overview:

1. The scope of this project includes Work required for the remedying, repairing and rehabilitating 3 duplexes used by the RCMP located at 734, 736, 746 and 754 Dominion Street, Winnipeg. 
2. As a summary the scope of work includes:
   1. Excavation all around the houses down to footings to make repairs to fissured foundation walls, waterproofing, insulation and installation of weeping tiles all around the foundation walls.
   2. The selective demolition of concrete and wood porches, stairs, ramps and walkways.The demolition to be done with care to safeguard existing wood and steel stairs,ramps, finishes and guards for their reinstallation. Consider replacing them when damaged during their removal.
   3. Selective demolition to include basement exterior walls non structural framing, to access joint between slab and foundation wall. Reinstall these timber framing as is, once the sealing of slab_foundation wall is complete.
   4. Introduction of basement under slab weeping tiles, complete with a sump and submersible pump.
   5. Excavation required modifying the existing sewer lines and reconnection to municipal sewer service lines. Removal of tree roots close to the houses.
   6. All required civil works to accomplish the rehabilitation of the houses.
   7. Site regrading, sodding and asphalting as indicated and required.
   8. Repairing fissures in brick walls including window reinstallation where required as well as the required repairs to existing interior finishes.
   9. Re_grading the side yards to create positive slopes of 2% to shed away surface waters from the houses. Impact on existing asphalted surfaces and will require redoing.
   10. All civil and mechanical works as indicated and as required making the connections of underground drainage sewer and all required services.
   11. Reinstallation of existing concrete porches, steps, ramps as per existing conditions.
   12. Reinstallation of wooden porches, ramps, guards and handrails to reproduce existing conditions. Wood elements to be replaced with new materials.
   13. Reinstallation of steel guards and handrails reflecting existing conditions. Except those that are not as per present building code requirements.
   14. Repair interior finishes after masonry work and repairs to existing windows installation and paint finish to match existing finishes and colors.
   15. Repair and prepare all existing concrete basement floors and apply 2 coats of floor coating.
3. The Work includes the supply of all services, transport, supervision, labour, materials, equipment, machinery, tools, temporary works and all other required services.
4. Repairing and making good (as new) of damaged existing works and surfaces from the activities of the present scope of works.
5. Construction work includes work described on all drawings, specifications and contract documents.
