GOC604028-CS - Replacement of Roof Access Windows

The roof access windows throughout the complex are at the end of their service life and require replacement. Some windows have lost thermal and closure seals. Locking mechanisms also require repair in most cases. The doors are used regularly for maintenance and need to be replaced. Energy efficiency will be a top priority for the replacement roof access windows. The type of window and glazing will need to be approved by Heritage Review. There are approximately 24 roof access windows that need to be replaced. Exact count and window specification to be confirmed by the consultant with assistance from BGIS Project and Property teams. Project costs and savings using the IAR tool to be divided per building as only select towers may go forward due to upcoming major refit. Also, where there is more than one accessibility point to a roof area, only the more cost effective single access point should be considered.
