PWG821866-PWG821867-PWG821868-PWG821869 - Chiller Replacement (Consulting Services)

BGIS is looking to hire consultants to prepare plans and specs for chiller replacements in building 6,7,8 & 9 located at 60 Moodie Drive. The main focus of this project is to investigate the options for improving the energy efficiency and reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the chillers in buildings 6, 7, 8 and 9.  As part of this investigation, the consultant should:

1. Perform cooling load calculations for the new occupancy of the buildings.
2. Investigate present installations and provide energy saving options for the cooling system (including chillers, the loop, pumps, etc.) including, but not limited to:  Replacing chillers in buildings 6, 7, 8 and 9 with new efficient chillers sized to current loads. 
3. Provide plans and specifications and new sequence of operations for the Building Automation System (BAS) to reflect the selected option.
4. Ensure all requirements are met to obtain any incentives available (i.e. Save On Energy Program).  Depending on the energy saving option that is chosen, this may require measurement and verification of existing equipment prior to replacement.
   The campus is currently experiencing a significant fitup to Workplace 2.0 standards for a new federal occupant, and all work must be in compliance with all appropriate codes, standards and policies and in accordance with the requirements of the applicable authorities.
5. BGIS requires professional consulting services to develop a plan which analyses a baseline case and three (3) options in detail, propose potential measures and solutions for each option, and recommend the best solutions in the consultant's opinion for each of the three options to be studied.
6. The Consultant shall integrate energy, Carbon Neutral design principles, and new and emerging products, services and technologies, into a single, cohesive and balanced set of options.
