Re-caulk all exterior windows and doorways. The 2,467 square meter Government of Canada Building is located at 100 Park Street and is located in Kenora’s downtown core. The west side of the building is bound by an asphalt parking area and the east side of the building is bordered by Park Street which serves as the main artery for public traffic utilizing building services. The south side of the building is bordered by an access lane allowing adjacent property owners rear parking off of the main access routes. The north side of the building is bounded by a secondary access street that is utilized by the tenants to access the building’s parking area. The building’s main entrance is located on the east side of the building facing Park Street. The building is complemented by attached delivery bays utilized by CPC for commercial operations. The present facility is comprised of a mixture of general office and commercial space to accommodate the Canada Post Corporation, Health Canada, and Industry Canada.
The 2-storey building (partial second floor) is generally rectangular in shape with two level, sloped roof and clad with crimson orange brick masonry walls and accented with concrete sills, lintels and fascia. Windows in the building are fixed aluminum type with insulating glass units. They are colour anodized, aluminum windows (dark bronze) with insulating units. Window types are mostly fixed with some hung units and are in average condition
